Tango marathon from Thursday, June 2nd, til Sunday, June 5th On the four days from Thursday til Sunday we will dance outdoor at the most beautiful spots of the city! The marathon takes place during afternoon or early evening (exact times will be announced) probably at the following places:

Wednesday, June 1st: opening milonga with Otros Aires feat. Joe Powers

Otros Aires open WieNeo with a live concert in the context of their Europe tour in this year! They are supported by Joe Powers. This highly-talented harmonica player, who recently published his first tango album, recorded some songs with Otros Aires which they will present in Vienna on June 1st. Following the tradition of Hugo Diaz, the interpretation by Joe Powers gives the tango music a unique character.

Thursday, June 2nd: milonga with Tanghetto - live!

Tanghetto are not only pioneers in fusing tango and electronica but also absolute trendsetters in the new tango scene of Buenos Aires. The band took beyond the very concept of electrotango, adding to the mixture some elements of traditional tango, jazz, diverse South American influences and rocking drum beats.

Sunday, June 5th: chillout milonga

We finish the festival with a cosy chillout milonga with local neotango DJs from Vienna. The events takes place at the bar "Pier 9" which is situated directly at the Danube Channel. Until 11 p.m. we can dance outside on the terrace as well!
